Success Story

Keep up the great work, Ms. Granato!

Ms. Katherine Granato is a long-term resident at Forest Haven who initially faced significant challenges with functional limitations, making her hesitant to leave the comfort of her room. At the start of her therapy sessions, Ms. Granato preferred to remain in her room and was unable to attend therapy in the gym. However, with consistent encouragement and support from theoccupational therapy team, she gradually became more engaged in her rehabilitation process. Ms. Granato responded remarkably well to the treatments and showed significant progress.

Through dedicated therapy, she made improvements in her standing balance and gained the ability to complete transfers on her unit with greater independence. One of her most impressive milestones was her ability to ambulate to the therapy room, something that once seemed out of reach. As her mobility improved, she also began to socialize with other residents during therapy sessions, fostering connections and increasing her overall engagement. Ms. Granato’s journey is a testament to her resilience and the impact of personalized care. We are incredibly proud of her progress and look forward to seeing her continued success in her rehabilitation journey at Forest Haven.
