Keep shining, Ms. Barbour!

Ms. Barbour has been a beloved member of our community at Forest Haven since 2021. Her infectious cheerfulness, quick smile, and laughter have brightened the days of everyone around her. When she was recently diagnosed with cognitive-linguistic deficits, we knew our Speech Therapy department would be able to help her. After working with our Speech Therapist for a few weeks to increase her orientation to place and ability to follow guided directions, Ms. Barbour has made incredible progress. She initially required increased cuing to complete tasks which she was previously able to complete.

After much effort she has successfully met all the goals set for her, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with her achievements! Ms. Barbour now actively participates in facility activities, enjoys watching TV with fellow residents in the TV room, and especially loves getting a good night’s sleep. We are so proud of her hard work and determination.
